DNEG releases VFX breakdown of ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s trailer

Hollywood movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage, better known as Venom 2, which released on 24 September has been blowing the minds of the masses with this stunning visuals.

The film, based on the Marvel Comics character Venom, and produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and Tencent Pictures, is the second film in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters and the sequel to Venom (2018). It is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Tom Hardy in the lead role along with Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, and Stephen Graham in supporting roles.

DNEG; one of world’s most noted VFX companies that has worked on the project recently released a VFX breakdown of the trailer which opens with the titular character comfortably embracing the parasite and carrying out household chores with the help of extra hands.

We see Venom interacting with the host, striking a friendly bond; the character that is comped later as shown in the breakdown. We also see the CG version of the man transitioning into the ghoulish carnage which the movie is centered on. A complex CG imagery seems to have been conjured up in layers after layers as it leaps from one chair to another with final product being shown in the breakdown later as the tentacles of carnage sink into the face of its victim.

The trailer in the end shows an entire city shot being made in CG as carnage climbs atop a building overlooking the nightly landscape.

The movie is available to watch in the theatres!
