Zodiak inks a deal with Al Jazeera

Zodiak Kids has sealed a 75-plus horror programming package deal with Al Jazeera for its Arabic children’s channels JeemTV and Baraem TV across the Middle East and North Africa.

Al Jazeera has licensed broadcast rights for The Ranch (26 x 26), the third seasons of Rekkit Rabbit (26 x 11) and Horrid Henry (52 x 11). The broadcaster has also re-licensed Monster Buster Club (45 x 26) and seasons two and three of Escape from Scorpion Island (60 x 30).

“We are extremely pleased to have concluded this deal with one of the region’s leading broadcasters,” said Zodiak Kids SVP – global sales and co-production Karen Vermeulen in a statement. “This agreement underlines how our business is growing across MENA – which we consider a thriving territory and an increasingly important revenue stream.”
