Yasmina Hadded and Sinead Rocks join RTS’ board of trustees

Britain’s leading forum for television and related media has appointed Netflix director of business affairs Yasmina Hadded and Nations & Regions at Channel 4 managing director Sinead Rocks to its board of trustees.

Royal Television Society CEO Theresa Wiseat said, “It is a pleasure to welcome Sinead and Yasmina to our Board of Trustees, as we continuously strive to celebrate and support the UK’s thriving television industry. They both bring extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience and we will benefit immensely from their insights and counsel. I am very much looking forward to working with them closely.”

Sinead Rocks said, “It’s an absolute honour to be joining The Royal Television Society as a trustee. I’ve long admired all they do, particularly in relation to helping to grow the next generation of talent for our industry right across the UK. I can’t wait to get started.”

Yasmina Hadded added, “It’s a huge honour to join the Royal Television Society as a trustee. It’s an incredible organisation with a long history of championing our industry, and supporting the next generation of British talent. I am very excited to have the opportunity to learn from and support our industry from the grassroots.”

Prior to joining Channel 4, Rocks was BBC’s director of Education. Under her leadership Channel 4 opened three regional centres – its National HQ in Leeds and Creative Hubs in Bristol and Glasgow. Hadded was hired by Netflix in Business Affairs to build the streaming platform’s business in the UK. Her role as a director helped to build the business as they grew in the UK, working across all their UK scripted series.
