After soft-launching Care Bears: Belly Match, a social puzzle game in Australia and New Zealand, Ubisoft announced today that the game has been released worldwide. A brand which has been recognised since 1980s, Care Bears is a retro brand which is still active globally with its animation features and toys.
A free to play Match-3, the game takes players to the world of Care-a-Lot where the Care Bears need players’ help to make their world a happy place again. Players need to switch, swap and match belly-badges through hundreds of levels in a dreamy and magical world.
Like all match-3 games, this one too has minimal lives (to be specific five) and one loses a life every time you fail to clear a level and each life gets refilled every 20 minutes or can be refilled with the premium currency or request ‘social friends’ for more lives.
The game has different game modes where one needs to test oneself against boss battles featuring the mischievous Beastly and time challenges. The Belly Bonanza Mode when the player completes his objective and has collected the required number of Belly Badge, he then can use the remaining moves to gather as many Belly Badges as possible. It also has the fast-paced Bear-Blitz mode, a clock timer mode where one has to match as many belly-badges as possible before your time runs out.
Care Bears: Belly Match, the studio says is unique due to its unique take on social gameplay and encourages players to exhibit their social skills with elements like Co-operative Social Quests and True Social Gifting while progressing in the game.
Care Bears: Belly Match is available on Apple, Android and Amazon devices
