With Captain America: Civil War releasing next year, Marvel Comics is all set to make it’s Civil War franchise all the more bigger. Civil War comics was published back in 2006-2007 and since then fans have been demanding for a sequel. Seems like with the movie releasing next year, Marvel has seized this opportunity and is rumoured to be coming up with Civil War II comic.
This news comes from a tweet which was tweeted by Ryan Higgins, a comic book store owner who received a postcard from Marvel Comics where we can see an image of Iron Man fighting against the current Captain America which is being played by Falcon (Sam Wilson). On the other side of the postcard, we can see “II” and “Spring 2016” written in the same font as the original “Civil War” logo.

One might be wondering how Sam Wilson becomes Captain America and what happens to our very beloved Steve Rogers aka the original Captain America? Though Steve is as spirited and willing as ever but his body is no longer up to the task of being Captain America. So that is why Sam was roped in and chosen by Steve to become the next Captain America. Steve then becomes Sam’s tutor, teaches him how to throw the shield and becomes a remote strategic advisor, running missions from his headquarters in Avengers Mansion.
What’s interesting is the premise of the comics is what could will be the reason for the heroes wanting to fight each other? With this year’s New York Comic Con taking place this week, it’s possible more details surrounding this teaser may surface in the near future.
