To promote the release of Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6 in Japan, the Mouse House has gone on overdrive to promote the film with a trailer using hand-drawn animation. It’s a very beautifully made trailer and may even lead to shedding a few tears.
Big Hero 6 is about an inflatable health robot named Baymax that ends up in the hands of young Hiro. This trailer has attempted at capturing the emotional spirit of the film.

The animated trailer was made by Tekken, who is a comedian famous for flip-book-style anime shorts. The song used in this trailer is AI’s “Story”, another way of directly connecting to modern Japanese society.
Big Hero 6 is co-directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt) with a script that Jordan Roberts (3,2,1…Frankie Go Boom) co-wrote with the former. Based on the comic book series of the same name, the film marks the first collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Marvel.
