He spent nine years at Pixar Animation Studios where he was CFO and Senior Vice President – Strategic Planning for Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Toon Studios and Disney Animation Studios. But within four years of joining as Twitter, Ali Rowghani has put in his papers, stepping down from his COO post. The microblogging site made this announcement on 12 June. Rowghani will, however, continue as a strategic advisor to Twitter CEO Dick Costolo.
Twitter announced that it is not looking for a replacement, with the operating responsibilities of Rowghani being assumed by others in the Twitter management team.
Rowghani shouted out his resignation through a tweet which read: “Goodbye Twitter. It has been an amazing ride and I will cherish the memories.”
