Cartoon Network has decided to give a makeover to the fourth season of its main show Oggy and the Cockroaches. From 2 March, Oggy is visible in a new avatar on the channel as Bhool Gaya Oggy.
Airing at the same time – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday – kids’ beloved character Oggy now has a memory problem as he keeps getting forgetful. The redubbed version of season four, the rights for which are with CN, will have the same voices but different treatment and different script. So kids won’t be missing their favourite voices of Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol and Shakti Kapoor.
The broadcast rights for the first three seasons of Oggy are with Nick India which is also aired at the same time. Nick India got the rights for the other seasons late last year and has since then been promoting it vehemently.
Produced by Xilam and Gaumont Film Company, the show centers around a blue cat called Oggy and the pesky roaches around him Joey, Dee Dee and Marky. The slapstick humour has been high on the ratings chart for both CN as well as Nick.
In week 8 of TAM TV ratings, CN stood at top position with 221 TVTs.
