Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have announced a season pass for Batman: Arkham Knight with Batgirl as a playable character with extra missions and maps along with batmobiles going as far as the first dark knight which was first introduced 75 years ago. Warner Bros. promised the new content for six months with the $40 season pass and received a lot of flak from fans considering that the game is priced at $60 and a $40 price tag is more than half of what the original is worth of. It responded about the criticism on their Facebook page explaining the contents of the DLC.
“We’ve heard from our community that you want more information on what we’ll be delivering in the Season Pass,” Warner Bros. said in a post to the game’s Facebook page. “While we aren’t ready to unveil every aspect of the content we’ll be developing, we would like to share more detail now to give you a better sense of the scope of the Season Pass.”
The details of the Arkham Knight season pass are as below:
Batgirl: A Matter of Family – Is a new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where one plays as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series.
The Season of Infamy – Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.
Gotham City Stories — Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks – Iconic Batmobiles come alive. Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.
Crimefighter Challenge Maps – Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.
Character Skins – A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.
Rocksteady, last week released a new trailer for the game had a Grand Theft Auto V- inspired character switch mechanic allowing the player to switch between Batman and his allies. The game is slated to release on 23 June on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
