Mumbai based game developers Nilee games have developed a first person shooter game titled Heroes of India. It dedicates the game to all the Armed Forces personnel, who scarified their lives and are out there on the borders of the country protecting us against anti-social activists and continue to do so with tremendous love and passion for India.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com Nilee Games founder Anand Jha expounds, “While discussing about the game concept for Indian users, we came up with this idea of creating a 3D FPS game which we would like to dedicate to all the Indian Armed Forces. So we named this game as Heroes of India. This game is not only for Indian users but it will also represent a strong Indian sentiment to overseas users.”
Made in Unity due to the project’s demands, the game was developed in a time span of three months and the studio is planning to release the game on 26January on the occasion of Republic Day.
The game will have different levels where the user will play as a soldier fighting anti-social elements with different scenarios to play with. It has a number of weapons which the players can opt for and fight against the crime in the course.
The game will be available on Android, iOS, Windows phones and will also be available to play on Facebook.
“We’ll first have to look at user’s response and then release the multiplayer version of the game. The game has not tied-up with any organisation as of now, but we would be happy to show the game to the armed forces and promote the game in their departments,” says Anand.
Since the game is a free to play, the game’s major monetisation will happen through advertising and in-app purchases. The promotion of the game will be through online campaigns which Anand explains will be through several social mediums.
“For Brainy Dogs, we had hired a professional promotional company to market our game but they did not perform well, so for Heroes of India we are doing all the promotional activities on our own. Brainy Dogs is now slowly picking up and whoever downloaded the game has only given us positive reviews,” claims Anand.
Nilee Games is in the fourth year of game development and is focusing on creating quality games which will also include multiplayer games. A series of games are lined up from the studio in the coming months.
On the game publishing front Anand adds, “With self publishing, it gives us a great opportunity to reach out to our own user base. Gamers are always hungry for best and addictive games, so our main motto as a publisher would be providing unique and original games.”
He concludes by saying that investors are welcome in the company, “Good investors help the company to grow and become a part of this growing and never ending industry.”
