Amazon has been eyeing to acquire exclusive streaming and digital rights from major Bollywood studios. Recently, it partnered with T-Series to get exclusive streaming rights of future titles from T-Series. It also partnered with filmmaker SS Rajamouli, Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks to spin off blockbuster Bollywood movie, Baahubali, into a new multi-episode animated series called ‘Baahubali: The Lost Legends’.

Also last month, Amazon India partnered with Dharma Productions and Vishesh Films. As Amazon brought its Prime service to India in July this year, it will probably bring Prime Video to the country this Diwali. And streaming animation content in this vacation season of celebration could be the best option to attract users and have a good start.

Amazon Video India, director and country head, Nitesh Kripalani said, “Green Gold Animation is a leading creator of premium kids’ content and Amazon Prime Video is delighted to offer a home to their much-loved content for kids and their families. This partnership will offer Amazon Prime members the very best content for their kids to watch and be delighted by.”

Green Gold Animation, founder and CEO, Rajiv Chilaka said, “We are excited that Chhota Bheem, India’s number 1 kids show for last nine years, would now be available on Amazon Prime Video. Indian Kids will now have better digital experience with our imaginative content as now they can view their favourite show when they want and where they want.”
