Nazara subsidiary Absolute Sports to acquire Deltia’s Gaming

Absolute Sports, a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies, will acquire all the assets of the gaming and esports content website Deltia’s Gaming. The acquisition will provide Absolute access to Deltia’s’ large audience on YouTube and gaming streaming network Twitch.

The transaction is for an all-cash consideration of US$900K (Rs 7.5 crores) to be paid over one or more tranches and is expected to be closed in the next 45 days.

Deltia’s Gaming had revenues of US$575K (Rs 4.8 crores) for the 12-month period ending June 2024. Absolute Sports will use its cash reserves to fund the transaction.

Absolute Sports CEO Ajay Pratap Singh stated, “With this acquisition, Absolute Sports will now serve upwards of five million US gaming enthusiasts with high quality gaming and esports related news and analysis content on our various properties.”

Deltia’s Gaming is a US-based gaming and esports media outlet founded by Jacob A. Hausman. It started out as a gaming-focused YouTube channel in 2014, which later expanded to house a Twitch streaming channel and launched its official website in 2021. The platform is focused on a set of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) and is known for its gaming guides and tutorials. The platform claims to have 1.5 million monthly unique users.

Established in 2009, Absolute Sports is the parent company of Sportskeeda, Pro Football Network and Soap Central. It comprises of content creators from around the world who produce multimedia content pieces on a daily basis. In 2019, Nazara, a gaming and sports media platform, picked up a majority stake in Absolute Sports.
