Gillette 7Sea Invitational to feature the top 24 ‘BGMI’ teams of India and a $20,000 prize pool

Gillette and 7Sea, an Ampverse portfolio esports team and rising star of the Indian esports scene, have announced a strategic partnership to launch the upcoming ‘Gillette 7Sea Invitational’, an exciting new Indian esports tournament. This invitational is an opportunity for the leading Battlegrounds Mobile India teams to compete for a share of the $20,000 prize pool. 

The Gillette 7Sea invitational tournament will feature the top 24 BGMI pro teams from across the country competing across the semifinals and finals. The tournament will take place over the course of nine days, with the semifinals happening from 25 to 29 March (28 March- Monday is a break) and the finals from 30 March to 3 April. The top 16 teams from the semifinals will advance to the finals. 

Head of Strategic Partnerships at Ampverse, Jenny Hall, stated, “We’re delighted to see 7Sea and Gillette come together and host this exciting invitational event produced by our friends at Skyesports. This lively format will feature the leading teams in India and is sure to showcase the best of the best of Indian esports talent.”

The tournament is produced by Skyesports and will be broadcasted via live streaming and re-screening. Viewers can tune into the competition on the 7Sea YouTube, 7Sea Loco, and Skyesports YouTube channels from 1 pm IST onwards. It will be broadcasted in six languages, which are Hindi, English, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil.
