Here is our pick of game releases that will see the light of day in November 2021:
Bloodshore (3 November): Bloodshore is an interactive action movie about a televised battle royale between high-profile streamers, entertainers and death row inmates. You control the fate of Nick, a washed-up actor who fights for a life-changing cash prize. Players must battle out in a dystopian battle royale set on a mysterious island location; where influencers, death row inmates and failing celebrities compete for a life-changing cash prize and all the attention they could ever want. Each playthrough can have a different outcome depending on player choices and the relationships built, some will bring deadly consequences for Nick and his fellow contestants. Published by Wales Interactive, Bloodshore is co-developed by Wayout Pictures, Good Gate Media, Posterity Entertainment and Wales Interactive. To The Rescue! (4 November): To The Rescue! is a dog shelter simulator where you are responsible for taking care of dozens of cute dogs in need of homes. It’s not all cuddles and snoot boops though: running a shelter can be a lot of work. You have to manage all of the dogs’ needs in order to maximize their chances of finding the right forever homes. Each day brings new challenges and rewards. Dogs have specific preferences, can get infectious diseases, and can have negative traits. But you can also hold fundraisers, get random donations, and, if you work hard, help someone find their new best friend. Unfortunately, there’s never enough room, and always more dogs. Some dogs are more desirable than others, but maybe if you can afford to wait long enough, just maybe, every dog will have their day.

Call of Duty: Vanguard (5 November): Call of Duty: Vanguard is an upcoming 2021 first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. The game establishes a storyline featuring the birth of the special forces to face an emerging threat at the end of the war during various theaters of World War II across the globe. the first revealed single-player campaign gameplay footage “Stalingrad Summer” captured in-engine, Vanguard will feature similar gameplay mechanics previously introduced in Modern Warfare, such as the player being able to mount wielded weapons to flat surfaces, interact with doors and execute takedowns. New gameplay features allow the player the ability to use a more advanced strategic approach in combat such as blind firing from behind cover, breaking through destructible environmental elements or creating new paths to complete objectives by climbing walls. The Vanguard’s multiplayer mode is slated to launch with 20 total maps, 16 of which are featured for core game modes.

Forza Horizon 5 (9 November): Forza Horizon 5 is an upcoming racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. It will be the fifth Forza Horizon title and twelfth main instalment in the Forza series. The game is set in a fictionalised representation of Mexico. Forza Horizon 5 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in Mexico. The game has the largest map in the entire Forza Horizon series, being 50per cent larger than Forza Horizon 4 while also having the highest point in the Horizon series. The map was described by creative director Mike Brown as one of the most diverse Forza Horizon maps the team has built. The map contains areas like an active caldera volcano, jungles and beaches, ancient Mayan temples, and cities such as Guanajuato. Players can explore the open world freely, though they can also compete in multiplayer races and complete the campaign mode. Both the cars featured in the game and the player character can be extensively customised. The game is the first in the franchise to support ray tracing on cars (although this is only available in ForzaVista).

Advance and adapt to the pressures of the climate, beasts and other tribes. can easily erase you from history. Every time you play, your village’s culture, technology, and look will be different depending on your surroundings, environment, climate, altitude and the resources available to you. Design a unique town with every play-through.

Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker expansion [23 November]: Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the fourth expansion pack to Final Fantasy XIV, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. In Endwalker, players will directly confront the Garlean Empire, an expansionist power that threatens the players’ homeland and allies. Zenos, the mad son of the former emperor, has murdered his father and now seeks a confrontation with the player’s Warrior of Light. He is aided by Fandaniel, an Ascian who aims to destroy the world and thereby end his immortal existence. The story has been marketed as the “finale” of the Hydaelyn–Zodiark arc, drawing the current ongoing story to a close, with an entirely new story beginning in the major patches following release. In addition to adding new areas, the expansion pack increases the level cap to 90 and debuts two new character classes, Sage and Reaper. With the recent beta test for a PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XIV, Endwalker is intended for simultaneous release on both PlayStation models.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One (16 November)- Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is an upcoming action-adventure mystery video game in the Sherlock Holmes series developed by Frogwares. It is also the first game in the series to be self-published by Frogwares itself. Described as an “origin story”, the game follows a young Sherlock Holmes as he investigates a mystery in his family’s home on the Mediterranean island of Cordona after his mother’s death. Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in November 2021, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to follow later that year. The plot will follow a 21-year-old Sherlock Holmes at the beginning of his career as a “consulting detective”. Following the death of his mother, Violet, the young detective returns to his childhood home on the Mediterranean island of Cordona. There, Holmes uncovers a sinister conspiracy lurking beneath the surface of a seemingly idyllic town where corruption and crime are rampant, and the locals shun outsiders. While investigating, Holmes must also reacquaint himself with his old friend, the enigmatic Jonathan (called “Jon”), who is described as “definitely not Watson”.

Century: Age of Ashes (18 November): Century: Age of Ashes is a free-to-play multiplayer dragon battle game. Master a growing roster of classes and dragons, compete in intense arena battles and rule the skies in fast-paced aerial combats. Century: Age of Ashes will feature both crossplay and cross-progression, allowing you to duke it out against PC and console players alike, as well as freely transfer all your data from your PC to your favorite console, or vice versa.

Battlefield 2042 (19 November): Battlefield 2042 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the seventeenth installment in the Battlefield series and the successor to 2018’s Battlefield V. Battlefield 2042 is a multiplayer-focused first-person shooter. As the game is set in the near future, it features futuristic weapons and gadgets like deployable turrets and drones, as well as vehicles that players can commandeer. Players can now request a vehicle air-drop to any location. The game also introduces a new “Plus” system which allows players to customize their weapons on the spot. The class system was significantly overhauled. Players can assume control of a specialist who falls under the four traditional Battlefield gameplay classes of Assault, Engineer, Medic and Recon. These characters can wield all the weapons and gadgets players have unlocked. Each operator has their own unique skills and gadgets.

Cricket 22: The Official Game of The Ashes (25 November): Cricket 22 is a 2021 cricket video game developed by Big Ant Studios and published by Nacon.It is the official video game of the 2021–22 Ashes series of cricket matches, and the (second) sequel to the 2017 game Ashes Cricket and first sequel to the 2019 game ‘’Cricket 19’’. The makers have also unveiled Nets Challenge facility for the users as part of the pre-ordering plans which would go in full-swing from late October 2021. The video game will feature the inclusion of both men’s and women’s editions of the Big Bash league for the very first time. In addition, the game will also introduce newcomers Caribbean Premier League and The Hundred. The licensing of the game has also been extended and expanded to other geographical territories including New Zealand, West Indies and Ireland in addition to Australia and England as real names and real images of the players of respective countries can be used.
