Sony Pictures drops trailer for R-rated Marvel film ‘Kraven the Hunter’

Sony Pictures has revealed the official trailer for R-rated Marvel film, Kraven The Hunter

Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff, also known as Kraven, is a Marvel Comics character created by  well known comics writers Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Kraven is a deadly hunter who is always looking for a challenge to test out his full abilities. As per the comics, he frequently hunts cross species and other mutated super villains and is a long running arch enemy of the well-known superhero Spider-Man.

Directed by ​J.C. Chandor, Kraven The Hunter stars Aaron Taylor Johnson as the titular character and also features another well known Spider-Man villain, the mutated brute Rhino. The supporting cast of the film include ​Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe.

The new trailer for the R-rated origin story takes a closer look at Kraven’s strained relationship with his father and brother, along with his quest for revenge. Aaron Taylor-Johnson seems like the perfect fit for the role of Kraven The Hunter as he dons the iconic lion-skin cloak and chases down the enemy. 

The film is an origin story of the character and is set before his personal vendetta with Spider-Man.
Kraven The Hunter releases in theatres on 13 December in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Fans can check out the comic Amazing Spider-Man: Kraven’s Last Hunt to know more about the character before the movie’s release.
