With the aim of bringing forward best works of the Indian Animation Industry, SAID- Society for Animation in Delhi, an independent, voluntary and community of passionate artists, announces 1st edition of AGAFA- Annual Graphics and Animation Films Awards, a 3 in 1 contest, which gives you an opportunity to participate in Graphic Design, Digital Painting and Animation Film categories.
The themes in these categories have an interesting mix to tempt you! You can submit your entry in the Graphic Design segment by designing poster of an animated movie, any event, or a social cause.

For submitting your entry in the Digital Painting category, you need to paint your imagination taking into consideration the themes, eyes, togetherness, character or nature.
And for making a mark in the Animation film category, you can create an animation short of up to 5 minutes, around the themes of, social cause, current affairs or promoting a product or service.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com about AGAFA, Madan Pania- President, Society for Animation in Delhi, shares, “The motto of this contest is to encourage creative art and IP with a purpose, make designers and animation artists be able to originally create what is required or demanded.”
Participation in this contest is free for Indian animation students, professionals and individual as well as team entries are accepted. Your submission would be judged by eminent personalities in fields of graphic arts, animation and telecast including Subodh Lal- Creative Guru, former executive president of Zee TV and Sony TV, and presently chairman of AKS Media, Suman Bajaj Kalra- renowned film-maker and former DDG, Doordarshan and animation film maker- Manoj Paharia.
So which aspect of your artwork would appeal to the jury? Madan informs, “Original and creative thinking, with good quality and new art leading to a powerful visual impact is what we will be holding up the most. ”
Deadline for submitting your entries in Graphic Deigning and Digital Painting competition is 10th October and November 10th for Animation films.
