Shemaroo inaugurates DI, Audio/ Video restoration services

Mumbai based Shemaroo Studio, a division of Shemaroo Entertainment has inaugurated its Digital Intermediate and Audio / Video restoration services. A frontrunner in DVD VCD Authoring, the Post Production studio is also into other services including telecine transfers etc and will now offer complete end to end solutions to its clients.

Amongst the new Systems installed include Thomson “Spirit 4K” Datacine, Davinci “2K PLUS”, Digital vision 2K DVNR, Bright systems Storage area network (SAN and NAS), Digital Vision – Nucoda “Film Master” suites for DI and DaVinci “Revivals” for Film Restoration and Lasergraphics Film Recorder “P4”

Drawing attention to the show packaging and graphics solutions for broadcast and video that the studio also offered, “We now have all infrastructure that needs to achieve: unlimited layers, compositing, chroma work, wire and rig removal, CGI, credit titles, supers, graphics, animation, 3D modelling etc using shake, combustion, smoke, after effects, 3D Max & Maya. We are HD Ready! Can offer HD Telecine, editing, noise reduction,colour grading and HD archiving on Panasonic D5 or Sony SRW format or on any Data Tapes” he shared.

Marking the inauguration, Shemaroo hosted a seminar on Digital Intermediate and Film Restoration where International speakers and representatives from the Major solutions providers demo-ed and explained the technology and the wonders that it could work. These Included Peter Chamberiain from DAVINCI (Singapore), Jeremy Lutherlock from DIGITAL VISION (UK), Christophe Deffontaines from THOMSON (Germany), Steve Klenk from LASERGRAPHICS (USA) and M.C. Patel from
RIGHT (USA) addressed the guests. The session was moderated by Paresh Sorathia – Director of Cineom Broadcast supplies & integrates equipment for Shemaroo Studios.
