Cartoon Network launches new humorous show – Horrid Henry

Ever get the feeling that a kid’s life is not so easy? If yes, then you may be just like Henry who gets that feeling too. Meet Henry, a nine year old kid who sees life somewhat differently than the rest of us. It’s time to have fun in Henry’s style! Adapted from the international best-selling books, Cartoon Network India is bringing the hit animated series Horrid Henryfor its young viewers starting 9th April, 2012 every Monday to Friday at 12pm on Cartoon Network.

Talking about the new series, Monica Tata, General Manager, Entertainment Networks, South Asia, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Horrid Henry is the iconic anti-hero who captures the curious and mischievous nature of kids and their eternal quest for fun, which is what Cartoon Network is all about. We’re sure that this loveable and slightly cheeky character will delight our audiences across India.”

Henry has a perfect little brother called Peter and a Mum and Dad who’d love him dearly if only he’d stop behaving like, well, a nine year old kid! Look at it from their point of view; Peter’s pet is a cat called Fluffy, Henry’s pet is a hamster called Fang!  Peter likes flower arranging and Henry likes listening to his favorite band, the Killer Boy Rats. Really, really loudly!

Henry looks at life from the bottom up and his favorite question is ‘why’? Why isn’t ketchup classified as a vegetable? It’s made from tomatoes, after all!  Why can’t kids stay up all night on Christmas Eve? Santa does. Why can’t homework be to climb trees and play in the garden?

Horrid Henry premieres 9th April, 2012 every Monday to Friday at 12pm in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Cartoon Network.
