The animated comedy adventure feature Ron’s Gone Wrong is all set to release in India on 29 October.
The 20th Century Studios and Locksmith Animation’s film gives us an emotional and hilarious look at the budding friendship between a boy and his faulty robot.
The film is directed by Pixar veteran Jean-Philippe Vine and Sarah Smith with Octavio Rodriguez co-directing. Liam Payne will also have his new single Sunshine as part of the film.
The science-fiction comedy is also slated to have its world premiere at the 2021 BFI London Film Festival on 9 October.
The story centers on Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler, and Ron, his new walking, talking, digitally connected device, which is supposed to be his ‘Best Friend out of the Box’.
The film features Ron’s hilarious malfunctions in today’s social media age, launch them into an action-packed journey in which boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship.
Ron’s Gone Wrong features the voices of actor Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Oscar winner Olivia Colman, Ed Helms, Justice Smith, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Ricardo Hurtado, Marcus Scribner, and Thomas Barbusca.
Due to pandemic, the film release has been postponed multiple times, the film was first announced on 12 October 2017 with its release date set for 6 November 2020.
Ron’s Gone Wrong will be the only Locksmith Animation film distributed by 20th Century Studios as the former has finalised a multi-year production deal with Warner Bros. Pictures for its future projects.
