Disney expands shows on iTunes

Disney is adding content from ESPN and ABC sports to the shows it already sells on Apple’s iTunes online music and video store.

Sports highlights, news programming, several shows from its cable networks and vintage School House Rock shorts will be available to itunes.

Media reports state that free ad-supported video podcasts from ABC News will be available, including daily segments from Good Morning America and the World News Tonight webcast.

Condensed versions of all four college football Bowl Championship Series games will go up on iTunes the day after they’re played. The Sugar and Fiesta bowls became available Tuesday. ESPN US will also offer spots from its This is SportsCenter ad campaign and some of its original shows.

Episodes of the ABC Family drama Wildfire and Disney shows Kim Possible and The Proud Family are also on iTunes, along with Soapnet’s Soapography. As with most video offerings on the service, each download costs $1.99.
