Famous for his association with the Indian work on LOTR and also for his Hollywood contacts, the high flying N Madhusudhanan who is a member of the Visual Effects Society LA is now trying hard to get the Indian chapter of VES astart.

Speaking to Animation ‘xpress, Madhu Informed, “I am happy to be the first Visual Effects Producer from India to be an active member in the Visual Effects Society (VES) in Los Angeles. Eric Roth, Executive Director, VES and I are seriously contemplating various things to develop the vfx community in India. We have many options to think about but don’t want to hurry up. I would like to have a forum very similar to VES before the community gets graduated to be a member in Los Angeles chapter. Some of the leading names from Hollywood will be the core executives of the Board. I am in talks with them for a long time since, and almost all of them are excited to support India’s growth in the Visual Effects Industry. ”

“Just like VES, we will have awards every year, we will have community libraries, a get together every 3 months and so on. The core team will recommend and invite some leading names who worked on the latest Hollywood visual effects films time and again to explain about making of the films. The need of the hour is the unity among the studios and artists. I hope this forum could bring all the strength together. Also, I need all the help from bodies such as NASSCOM and FICCI for this. Maybe this year FRAMES could see some development on Visual Effects Forum” he further elaborated.

On being asked about the latest projects that he was working on the VFX producer quipped, “I have 2 prestigious Hollywood projects with me one of which involves my Godfather Barrie Osborne and also supervising the pre-production work on Shekhar Kapur’s couple of projects including the most expected film PAANI”.

A veteran in VFX having produced the VFX for over 60 plus domestic films besides winning a National Award for VFX, Los Angeles based Madhu is very closely monitoring the upcoming Post Production and Visual FX studio in Chennai Frameflow, which is headed by his longtime associate Krishnakant Mishra.
