Animated films to be screened in CFSI’s Kids film bonanza in Delhi and Mumbai

With the schools breaking for the summer holidays, over ten children’s films are to be screened at a Summer Bonanza in Mumbai and Delhi by the Children’s Film Society, India (CFSI).

The Bonanza of Children’s films in Mumbai is from 23 to 26 April. Some of the acclaimed films produced by the CFSI will be screened at the state-of-the-art screening theatres at Films Division Complex on Pedder Road, Mumbai.

A similar three day event will also be held in Delhi, where the films will be screened at the Siri Fort auditorium.

Gopi

Speaking about the initiative, Information & Broadcasting Secretary Sunil Arora said, “CFSI has been producing landmark children’s films over the past 60 years and some of them have national and international awards. Summer bonanza is an event aimed at engaging children with entertaining and educative content.”

CFSI will screen some of its popular animated films like Shilpa Ranade’s Gopi Gawaiya, Bagha Bajaiya based on the characters of Gopi and Bagha created by globally acclaimed director Satyajit Raylike; Krish, Trish & Batliboy the story of a cat, monkey and a donkey; live action films like Gattu directed by Rajan Khosla, Pappu Ki Pagdandi the 2014 film which won accolades at the Toronto and Cairo Film Festivals, Kaphal (Wildberries) – the National Film Award winner for Best Children’s Film 2014 and Mizo feature film Kima’s Lode among others.
