Next month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s beta will be available, with PlayStation players getting access first, followed by Xbox and PC users. An announcement of the same was made by Infinity Ward at CDL Champs (Call of Duty League Championship). The dates are divided by console and whether or not one pre-ordered the game, just like in previous betas.
For PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players who pre-ordered the game, the first early access beta begins on 16-17 September. After that, all PlayStation users can participate in the open beta, which starts on 18 September and runs through 20 September.
The PlayStation, Xbox, and PC crossplay beta will run from 22-23 September, and the open cross-play beta will run from 24-26 September on all platforms. Every session starts at 1:00 pm ET.
Additionally, Infinity Ward teased Grand Prix, a brand-new multiplayer map that is set on a racetrack, at CDL Champs. During the beta, the map will be playable.
On 15 September, Infinity Ward will host a Call of Duty: Next event where a lot more information about the upcoming game will be revealed, including a complete multiplayer reveal. On 28 October, Modern Warfare II will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Battle.net and Steam.
