Csharks launches Android version of Puzzle Game ‘QUASH BOARD’

After launching Puzzle game ‘Quash Board’ on iOS platform in June, Kerala based studio- Csharks has launched this game for Android users. This free puzzle game targets teenagers and aged audiences who love to play puzzles which do not demand any particular skills to play.
Csharks is solely responsible for the design-development-publishing of Quash Board.  For creating the game play, Csharks researched about various limitations of a puzzles game and got to know that the complex methods used in other puzzle games is what keeps the players away from them.

Talking to AnimationXpress.com, Eldhose P Mathew MD & CEO, Csharks shares on how the team came up with the puzzle game board, “Since most of the mobile board games are either complex or multiplayer ones, we conceptualized this game in a simpler manner, which will help players to enjoy this game as a time pass.”
There is no time limit for any level; instead players can take their own time to finish. Eldhose further adds, “There is a timer which counts in score when the player finishes a level.”

The game play of ‘Quash board’ puzzle game is simple and comprises of 140 levels in two packs.  As the game progresses further, each level in this game is a challenge to the player’s puzzle solving skills.  In each level, the player will have to remove all balls except one from the board by knocking each other. The Player can drag any ball to the next ball for knocking it off the board. But the player has to take utmost care neither to drag a ball to the ball placed in the block adjacent to it nor drag a ball directly off the board. Second pack has many different blocking tiles which restricts the movements of balls on the board and makes the game play very challenging.
Csharks has used Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Eclipse, Xcode in the process of designing and developing this puzzle board game.

Putting some light on the challenges faced by Csharks, Eldhose mentions, “Bringing out different level designs, inserting blocking tiles into the game play was the most challenging area in the game development process.”
The team members who were involved in the several aspects of game development are Juwal Bose- Creative Director,   Abhilash C V- Producer and Level Designer, Sugith V – Art and Animations, Vipin T P & Aparana Radhakrishnan- Programming and Eldhose P Mathew- Concept and Executive Producer.
Appreciating his team’s efforts, Eldose says, “Csharks main strength is our creative team which comprises of talented designers and game programmers. Together we make beautiful games with our own uniqueness in them.”
