Calling best of Indian Animation, VFX & Games: Golden Cursor Awards 09

nullInstituted with the philosophy of honoring the best in the Indian Animation, VFX and Games space, CNBC TV18 and Arena Multimedia‘s Golden Cursor Animation Awards 09 (GCA), powered by Animation Xpress.com is inviting entries from all across India and the deadline for receiving the same has been extended to 5th March 2009.

In its second year, GCA is broadening its horizons with the inclusion of VFX and Gaming categories under its umbrella along with animation. A whole new list of categories including Best VFX sequence in a feature film, Best Online Casual Game, Best Animated Edutainment Content amongst others has been added and the awards are open for both students and professionals.

Sharing about CNBC‘s ideology behind GCA Neel Chowdhury, Vice President, Marketing, CNBC-TV18 and CNBC AWAAZ said, “Indian Animation industry has proved itself as being one of the best in the world. From being an outsourcing destination for animation it is increasingly being recognized for its creative contribution. A panel constituting of Animation experts from The Cell (The TV18 graphics & animation team), Arena Multimedia, AnimationXpress.com & Tech2 editorial team, will do the first screening and filtering the entries on the basis of pre- determined parameters. The entries will then by adjudged by a panel of stalwarts and experts from the Indian animation industry whose names will be announced soon.
