Dena Bank installs Kisan ATM with Video & Voice Animation system

nullIn what can be termed as a wonderful innovation, Dena Bank has come up with a specifically engineered ATM that enables its rural consumers who cannot read or write to conduct their banking activities without any hassles. The hero of the story is Animation using which the ATM communicates with the consumers in the absence of text.

Engineered by Germany based Wincor Nixdorf the Kisan ATM features interactive Voice and Video Animation created by Mumbai based AGS Infotech which is currently working with 5 PSU Banks on the Kisan ATM projects.

The first installation of this system has been made at Balwa village near Gandhinagar.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, AGS Infotech CEO & President Sunil Udupa shared, “The rural masses most often are unable to read and write. We have fitted our ATMs with a Video and Voice Animation system. Hence, when a customer operates this ATM, he is guided by voice instructions and a coordinated animation that appears on the screen of the ATM. Further, the transactions are completed by a single touch and there are no complicated menu navigations that you see on the standard Urban ATMs”

The Kisan ATM comprises features like Finger print verification, voice guided animated screens, one touch-enabled transactions, uncomplicated menus especially designed for individuals who cannot read or write.

Says Dena Bank‘s General Manager (Gujrat Operation) Purushottam Kumar, “Dena Bank has constantly strived to maintain a customer centric approach in all our initiatives and has continuously made endeavors to provide the much-needed facilities and services to our customers, who are very important for any commercial organization. Opting for Kisan ATMs has really helped us in serving our rural customers and has opened new dimensions for Dena Bank to increase our customer base.”
