Zapizza, the new combo meal on the block

Zapak.com seems to have something new up its sleeve almost all the time. Keeping new marketing strategies in mind, it has recently ventured into a tie up with Domino�s Pizza for a cross brand promotion.

The combination which is called Zapizza is termed as India�s first �Gaming Pizza Combination.� ZaPizza comprises of a Pizza from the Domino�s menu along with a free Zapak gaming CD with pre-loaded downloadable games worth Rs. 450/-. The four games to be included in the gaming CD are Cricket: Limited Version, Aquamania, Snowy: Treasure Hunt 2 and City Magnate.

Speaking to Animation Xpress.com, Dev Amritesh, Chief of Marketing, Dominoâ€?s Pizza India Ltd., shared, “The zapizza combo is a joint effort between Dominoâ€?s Pizza India Ltd. and Zapak.com. The benefit for us is that we get to give incentives to our consumers with a gaming CD from Zapak.com. Our target group and that of Zapakâ€?s has a significant overlap and we believe this gaming CD is a gift that our consumers will find relevant and will enjoy. Considering that this is the cricket season and gaming is increasingly becoming popular we believe this is a relevant offer to engage our consumers. Our consumers can avail of this offer against a purchase of the Dominos Cheese Burst Pizza and garlic bread with dip.”

The idea behind the tie up with Domino�s was to directly get in touch with the youth who are the largest consumers of pizza as well as gaming which is the new trend among them.
In addition to the above, the ZaPizza combo meal will also have a scratch card provided free of cost. The scratch serial numbered card will reveal a code that entitles the Domino�s customer to win goodies at www.Zapak.com. Zapak is trying to generate registrations through this method as well.

Shared Arun Mehra, Zapakâ€?s Chief Marketing Officer on the tie up, “India is a young market, with a large youth population. We at Zapak believe that there is a gamer in each one of us. So to target this gamer we are creating ways and means to reach out the youth. As we are all aware the youth of today is crazy about pizzas and this thought formed the basis of the tie-up with Dominoâ€?s. Weâ€?ve tried to create excellent value for the consumer as the value derived by him is more than the cost of the pizza itself. We believe that this COMBO will be a big hit with the youth of today.”

Both companies are pinning their hopes on the success of this campaign which they hope would generate their visibility amongst the right target audience.
